Hi Friends! It’s been a crazy week for me. I meant to pop in waaaaay earlier in the week to say hi, but time got away from me. I decided the best way to fill you guys in would be through a whole bunch of photos.
Here we go!
Travis and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend at Tagine in Beverly Hills. It was our second time at the restaurant in just a few weeks – our first meal was SO good that we had to go back and explore more of the menu. Fun fact – Tagine is co-owned by Ryan Gosling! Both times I was crossing my fingers that he would be there, but alas, Mr. Gosling was a no show.
There are only 10 tables in the restaurant, so the service is amazing – very attentive. Our server knew we were celebrating and brought us a delicious dessert tray at the end of our meal. Baklava = my favorite. Thank you, Tagine, for another delicious meal!
Travis’ sister, Justine, sent me this photo of little Travis. Can we talk about how stinkin’ cute this kid is?
Travis and I spent our actual anniversary night (Monday) in the ER, which was a true bonding experience. After work I started having severe stomach pains, so Travis took me to the hospital. Don’t worry – all is good now, but let’s just say it was a LONG night. I had to wait three hours to even be seen by the doctors – ahhh! To ease the tension, Travis made a hilarious Snapchat video of our experience. Below are a few screenshots.
It was a long night and we didn’t get home until 1AM. Poor Bessie had to wait SO long to go out – she is such a trooper. We made sure to give her extra kisses and she also got to sleep in the bed, which she was very pleased about.
I finally checked out Sqirl in Silverlake. There has been so much great press about Sqirl in Food & Wine, LA Times, and more. Everyone praises their scrumptious brunch menu. Jenni and I split this AMAZING slice of Blueberry Lemon Olive Oil Cake, Avocado Toast, one of their popular Kokuho Rose Brown Rice Bowls, and their White Fish and Salmon special. Everything was soooooo good. The constant line of customers out the door is very well deserved!
And since it’s Friday, I am going to leave you with a happy thought:
Have a great weekend friends! See ya next week!
So glad to hear you’re ok! Congratulations on four years to you and Travis!!
Thank you Megan!! xoxo
Glad you’re okay Rachel, and I love the quote above! xo

Happy Anniversary to you both, dear Rachel. I’m so sorry you had such a harrowing experience but boy am I glad Super Travis was there to take care of you. Hugs to you both.
