Hello and happy Friday! I am checking in today with my December edition of What I’m Loving Lately. Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a fantastic weekend. XO
Romeo
I would be remiss not to mention Romeo, our sweet new foster dog! Many of you have seen Romeo on Instagram, but this is his official introduction on the blog. He was rescued from a terrible hoarding situation in Miami about three weeks ago, and was taken to NYC along with some of the other rescued dogs (there were over 100 of them in total!). He’s now safe at home with us and we LOVE having a dog around again. Travis and I also have a special place in our hearts for abused or neglected dogs, and it feels so good to give Romeo a loving, calm home. He has a potential adopter coming to meet him this weekend, so fingers crossed for him that it’s a good fit and he can move to his forever home!
Dyson Cool Link Air Purifier
I am so sensitive to smells, and it drives me nuts when our apartment smells like fish, cooking grease, or whatever else I happen to be cooking that day. We bought the Dyson Air Purifier over the summer, and we’ve been so happy with it! This purifier acts as a fan as well, which is really helpful in warmer months. We leave it on the automatic setting, and it kicks on whenever it detects impurities in the air. There is also an app that you can use to monitor the air quality in your home.
The machine is extremely quiet, and we barely notice when it’s on. There is another Dyson model that also heats, which might suit some of you in colder climates. We have the desk version which fits our needs, but they make a larger floor version for bigger rooms as well.
If you’re interested in buying one for your home, I noticed that it’s actually on sale for $279.99 at Target right now, which is a great deal! This could be a great holiday gift for someone…
The Soulfull Project
I love finding ways to give back during the holiday season, and The Soulfull project does just that. They make a variety of hot cereal blends, and for every product that they sell, the company donates a serving of their 4-grain hot cereal to a food bank in YOUR area. All of their products are vegan, and many are gluten-free.
I love supporting businesses that give back to local communities in need. You can find their hot cereal at Sprouts, Stop & Shop, Fairway, Shaws, and also purchase directly from their website. Make sure to use the code LITTLECHEFBIGSOUL for 30% off your order from now until January 14, 2019!
BISSELL SpotClean ProHeat Handheld Carpet Cleaner
This Bissel Spot Cleaner is amazing at cleaning up carpet stains! It acts as both a vacuum and cleaner in one machine, making it so great at cleaning pet stains or spills. We’ve used it on our living rug so many times, and each time we are amazed by how well it works. If you have pets or kids who make a mess, I highly recommend this machine! It takes up very little room, so if we can make room for it in our small apartment, then you can, too.
2019 Planner
I’ve mentioned before how much I love these Me & My Big Ideas planners, and I am always excited to get a new design at the start of a new year. These planners are very similar to the Erin Condren life planners, but cost a fraction of the price. Each day is split into three blocks (morning, afternoon, and night), which REALLY helps to keep you organized. I don’t know what I would do without mine! If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to become more organized, or if you’re already organization-obsessed, then buy this planner. You won’t be disappointed.
Ebates
Do you use Ebates when you shop online? If not, then STOP what you’re doing, and go sign up! Ebates gives you cash back from thousands of stores when you shop. Over Black Friday weekend, we received so much cash back because most retailers increased their cash back rates significantly. There is a Google Chrome extension so whenever you’re on a website, Ebates will let you know if there is cash back available for that retailer. It’s quite possibly one of the easiest ways to earn money, so there is no reason you shouldn’t do it!

P.S. You can find all of my favorite products and more on my Amazon Shop page. Here is a direct link, but you can navigate to it any time by just going to the “Favorites” tab on my main menu.
Note, I am an Amazon Affiliate, so if you purchase an item through one of those links (or another link on this page) I may early a tiny commission, but rest assured that the prices are exactly the same to you.

ROMEO!!!! What a cutie!! You are so sweet to take in a foster pet. I love the idea of doing that, but I feel like I would get too attached! (Which is fine for, like, one pet, but if we fostered several in a row, it could become problematic, lol).
I also love the air purifier idea. I also hate cooking smells that linger in the house; butter and onions smells awesome as you’re cooking them, but not the next morning when you wake up, lol. I’ll have to look into this… 🙂
Rachel (littlechefbigappetite)
It’s definitely hard to let go, but you have to remind yourself that they’re going to a new home with people who are going to love and appreciate them forever!
And YES to the cooking smells. I highly, highly recommend the purifier!
