Sharing a big ol’ photo dump from my iphone! I haven’t done this in awhile, so I am ready to catch you up on what I’ve been up to.
Travis and I have talked about doing monthly dinner parties at our apartment forever now, but we finally got around to it. We hosted a Mediterranean-themed dinner party and invited over four of our friends. We cooked the main meal and our guests brought the appetizers and desserts. All of the food was AMAZING and we all had a blast. Travis and I promised to commit to doing this once a month from now on, but I know with the holidays right around the corner it is going to be tough.
Travis was unpacking from a brief work trip and Bessie decided that his suitcase was her new bed. She does a lot of things that don’t exactly make much sense, but we love her for it. She either reaaaaaaally missed her Dad or she genuinely thought his suitcase was a new bed for her…Really wish I could read her mind sometimes.
I met my old coworker for dinner at The Little Door in Santa Monica last week. The Little Door in West Hollywood was one of the first restaurants I ever went to LA and it quickly became my favorite. It is always my go-to restaurant for special occasions. I was thrilled when I heard they were opening a location on the west side of LA because it meant a much shorter trek to my favorite food. The new location did not disappoint, but catching up with my old coworker was even better.
My friend Kelly put together a girl’s night out on Saturday and I was so excited! None of us girls new each other (Kelly was the link), but we hit it off right away! We first went over to Kelly’s for drinks and appetizers (she put together an amazing spread of food) and then we headed out to the Church Key for dinner together.
Unfortunately, the photos from the night are very blurry, but I am glad I at least snagged a few. I loved meeting these girls so much, and we all knew right away that we are going to be great friends!
A HUGE highlight of the night was when I spotted the entire cast of How to Get Away With Murder at the table next to us. Do you watch that show? If not, you MUST start – it is so addicting. I watch it religiously every Thursday, so I had a minor freak out when I saw them so close to us. I went over and told them how much I loved the show and they were so cool about it.
I don’t even care that it’s blurry because it is the BEST.PHOTO.EVER. Even if you don’t watch HTGAWM, you may recognize a few of them from Harry Potter, Gilmore Girls, and Orange is the New Black.
I got home reaaaaaally late on Saturday night Sunday morning, so I was thrilled to open my eyes in the morning to Travis bringing in breakfast in bed. He brought me my favorite protein pancakes and coffee and I was the happiest girl on the planet. I ended up bringing the food back to our dining room to eat with him because I didn’t want to eat alone, hah.
The rest of Sunday I basically just lounged around all day. And now we are all caught up!
THE END.
