The easiest and most delicious way to make slow cooker shredded chicken! It requires only two ingredients and five minutes of prep time. Use the shredded chicken in salads, sandwiches and soups.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh herbs (optional)
  1. Place chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour one cup of low-sodium chicken broth over the chicken. Season the breasts with salt, pepper, and any other herbs you like.
  2. Place the lid on the slow cooker and set it to HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 5-6 hours.
  3. Remove the chicken, and use two forks to shred the breasts. Make sure you reserve some of the broth and chicken juices from the slow cooker to add it to the shredded chicken for extra moisture.
